On this day an Angel was born ten years ago
One with the most beautiful blue eyes you've ever seen
On this day the Lord had called her home
The one with the straightest blond hair
On this day family and friends gather around
Saying their last words to the lovely girl
On this day nobody said the words "Goodbye"
Instead, they rejoice her presence
On this day we had no choice
We put on our fake smiles
On this day everybody prays to hear her voice
That would make us live worth the while
On this day we will carry on with our lives
Knowing that is what you would've wanted
On this day it will be hard for us every year
Remembering what was and what's not anymore
